Yay Weekend!!!!!!

So I still have not gotten my pictures put on a CD. What I need to do is go to Walmart or somewhere and see if they have the cord that goes with my camera so I can download them.

Anyhoo, this week went by quickly thank goodness because do you realize how ready I am for the time to change! I am very ready! Our plans for tonight is pumpkin carving :-)

Then tomorrow I will be going with my sister in law and mother in law to go ....SHOPPING! Looking forward to a ladies day out. I will then get to clean house (woo hoo) but then we are handing out candy!!!! I'm just proud that we bought it already. I have been so behind this month. And no ...I have not got my decorations up because Nick has not gotten them down :-(

I think we will pop popcorn and watch some scary movies!

I hope everyone has a great safe weekend. ......it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ;-)

Unspoken Prayers

A couple of things are going on right now that I ask those of you that pray to just remember to add my family in there. We have got some good and some bad with health etc. and just general struggles. God is really the only one that knows how things will turn out and I normally try to just hand it off to Him immediately so I do not have to deal with it!

God has answered so many prayers and always continues to do so. Sometimes the prayers we request don't turn out the way we want it to but so far every time it has worked out better!

Lawsuit waiting to happen....

So Saturday morning after we returned from eating at Cracker Barrel (Girls I got the steak biscuit with plain hashbrowns mmmmm) Nick and I started hard core cleaning. So as I was on my hands and knees scrubbing our bathrooms Nick was doing the living room area. He swept the whole area and then proceeded to do the floors......polish them......with furniture polish. So I have no clue what affect this does to hard wood floors but hey they started looking really good! As I walk through packing things away he yelled from the kitchen to walk carefully that it was a little slick. A little slick? I had to walk very carefully! So after cleaning everything and feeling so so good we were off to see little Isaac Ross Underwood and of course little Ezra Dell Underwood.

We had friends night that night and everyone brought their kids. I wish I had a videocamera or at least counted how many times those kids feet just went flying out from under them and they landed on the floor. The one year olds finally started getting a kick out of it and knew how to land properly but at first we had many tears. The mothers? Oh they were laughing just as hard. Me? I was a nervous wreck and thought we would end up at the Emergency Room before the night ended!!!!! But no one got hurt......badly :-( whew!

So little Isaac is doing very well. Momma is doing extremely well too which that is always a good thing! I got to hold Isaac for a little while but I know that Nick just dies to get a hold of any baby (especially Chris's kids) so I hand him over. It makes me so happy to see Nick be so good with kids, especially small babies. Isaac was very small, weighing 6'13 at birth and now weighing 6'3. He is so tiny. Nick was holding him in his one hand and you should see how he was holding the other arm lol he didn't need it to hold him so it looked funny. And if there is one thing that babies can do in Nick's arms is just doze right off to sleep. Aubree used to konk out immediately when Nick had her and Isaac did the the same thing.

We are so happy and proud for the new addition and we pray that God will continually watch over this family. We love you Chris and Leann!

It's going to be a great weekend!

I am so glad it's Friday! This week has really been a long week for some reason. This weekend has a lot of fun filled activities that I am excited about :-)

First, Plainview is playing DAR tonight so my sister in law and I will be tracking down there to support our hubbies. I have not been able to make it to a ballgame in several Fridays which is not like me so I have been looking forward to tonight!

Tomorrow morning we will be joining the young adults of our church at ........CRACKER BARREL! I am so excited. It has been a while since I have been for breakfast. I have already been trying to decide what to get....french toast, omelet, or steak biscuits? Oh the choices! My stomach is growling as I think about it!

Then Nick and I have to do major cleaning. But then we get to carve our pumpkins!!!! I am so excited! (Notice how I get giddy about pretty much everything in life). Hopefully Nick will get my Halloween decorations down and I can get all of my Fall stuff laid out.

We are also having our friends night which has not happened in a few months. We have all been so busy whether it be personal, babies, work, etc. So we are having soup night where I will be making Taco Soup and Haley is making Potato Soup. Yum! Looks like Erin & Chris, April & Ryan, and Haley and Chris will be there. Hopefully April & Tyler can make it but they have a filled day as it is. Leann & Chris will not be there because they will be at home taking care of little Isaac Ross Underwood. Oh my gosh he is precious! Our plan is to take them some dinner next week and peek at the cutie pa tootie and then let them both rest!

I hope everyone has a safe weekend.

Bears Den Cabin

We are pretty much booked up the remainder of this year with some weekdays open.

I personally love going to Gatlinburg in February. Its still chilly out, you can bundle right in front of an open fire or go ice skating! Plus you don't have to deal with the traffic or loads of people that you normally would.

Plus if you book before 2009 is over I will knock off $50.00 off your 2 night stay!

Go visit our website and pass it along. We take pride in our cabin and we have gotten great reviews from those who have stayed and have quite a few regulars already!

So Behind!!!!!

So I was out all last week because of issues and I didn't realize that Aishlea nominated me for an award and I didn't even play along :-( Sorry Aishlea I'm catching up I promise!

Here are the rules:

1-Thank the person who nominated you for this award.

2-Copy the logo and place it on your blog.

3-Link to the person who nominated you for this award.

4-Name 7 things about yourself that people may not know.

5-Nominate 7 Kreativ Bloggers.

6-Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
7-Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know they’ve been nominated.
So since I am very new to this blogging world still, I am still figuring out how to do things I will be cheating......a lot!
Thank you Aishlea for nominating me :-) Your a sweetie pie!
My 7 things....1) I love vegetables. My friends used to make fun of me because when they came to visit me at Auburn, I would cook a bowl of corn as a snack.....
2) I love reading. I have my favorite authors and I get on a roll where everything else in my life takes second place because I can't put the books down!
3) I love having people over at my house. Not just one or two either. I love entertaining. I love cooking and having people over and enjoying their company. I love our friends nights because I get to be around a lot of my friends all at once :-)
4) I think about all my friends all the time. I miss those I do not get to see as much or those I used to be attached to by the hip and because we grew up and either moved or other reasons I am not close to anymore...it makes me sad thinking about it!
5) I love grocery shopping. There is nothing that makes me happier than to have my cabinets full of stuff and I love going to the store to get it that way!!!! I mean I get giddy when it comes time. Plus I am getting pretty good at it to where our grocery bill is pathetically lower than most peoples......I have no clue I just got skilz lol
6) I have cravings. You know pregnant women talk about how they start having these cravings for food, well I have always been that way. 98% of the time I know exactly what I want to eat that night, etc. because I can almost taste it lol.
7) Ummmm what else I wish I could grow a garden but since majority of my plants die under my "green" thumb I'm thinking that is not my calling. But I so badly wish I could say "Oh just hold on let me go pick some squash for dinner" lol (small things amuse me ......have I mentioned that).
So the only people I really have on here has already done this :-( Sooooo hopefully this will do :-)

Just randomness

So I have figured out that I am not that good with this Blog because I never get pictures developed!!!!! Anyway, Nick and I actually had a date night Saturday night. Our life has been crazy this year and especially in August and September so finally we got to have our date night. Can you believe that he didn't even object when I said lets go to the drive in and it was right when the Alabama game was playing! Now granted he listened to it on the radio until he absolutely had to change the station but I just thought that was sweet :-) So we did watch football all day Saturday and then we ate dinner. I packed a cooler of goodies and off we went to watch The Surrogates and Its all About Steve. Now I love the drive in. I love the atmosphere and everything about it so we had fun but man did both of those movies just absolutely bore me! I was disappointed I was thinking Bruce Willis, Sandra Bullock, how can you go wrong? Well you can! It was awful! Oh well it was still a good night.

We are now getting to wear sweaters and if anyone knows me they know I love sweaters and scarves and hats and gloves aaahhh I love this season. I have been a little behind but hopefully I can get my Fall decorations out and Halloween items up before its too late.

Nick and I also went grocery shopping Saturday morning (yes I know stupid move why would you do that to yourself?!?!) but it wasn't too too bad. We grabbed a couple of pumpkins and that will be taking up one of our nights this week. Nick just was floored last year when I told him that was the first time I was ever carving out a pumpkin. He apparently just thinks I was ripped of my childhood ;-) He still doesn't understand the whole different continent thing oh well :-)

I just want to say how many blessings and answered prayers God has answered for us lately and continually does. I sit and wonder how people make it without Him....how they live day to day. My new challenge for myself is to get into a bible study with myself lol. Well really with Nick but also with myself so I can be reminded everyday of what He has done for me.

Adoption

A family in our church announced last night that they got a call from the adoption agency they are working with and there is a possible case. This family has a 3 year old son that they adopted. I believe he was a couple of weeks old when they got him.

I have grown very close to this lady. The heart ache of finding out that you cannot have children that are biologically yours and then the emotional rollarcoaster of adoption. I ask that each and every one of you just say a small prayer for this family. It was very hard to keep the tears back as they announced it and asked for prayers. The husband is the one who announced it and the look in his eyes as he spoke was unforgettable. I pray that God will bless them with another addition to their family. So many people take their families for granted and don't realize how much heart ache is out there. Not only from this side but also a mother who has made the decision that her daughter will be better off living with another family, what a selfless act.

Adoption has always been something dear to me. The thought that there are so many children out there that do not have a mommy or daddy to cuddle with or tuck them in at night, its depressing thinking of it. They are all so innocent and by God's Word we know that Jesus always had a special place for His children. I also pray for those children who are in abusive homes and need help. I pray that God hears their cries.

I'm sorry this is such a depressing post but sometimes those of us who do have such a richly blessed life and family need to remember those who are hurting. If you can donate or help with any orphanages or charities, I ask you do that. It is indeed the smallest thing you can do on your side.

I am keeping their name anonymous for privacy but John Doe Family you are in my prayers daily that your little girl will come home soon! And I also can't wait to see that sparkle in your eyes when you bring her to church for the first time and I get to watch you interact with her (of course I'll be paying attention to the lesson as well lol).

Love to all!
