Life's Tragedies

I have a prayer request and this one is closer to home than I would like. Another Christian sister was pregnant with twins and was due in February, 2010. I used to attend church with her but I have not seen her for quite some time now. I just found out maybe 3-4 days ago that she was expecting twin girls. I am not sure of the details but they came early and did not make it. What this family must be going through is unimaginable and God is the only one who can give them peace.

Please keep them in your prayers as they have a long road of healing ahead of them.

Quick update

Just a quick note, babies are measuring exactly the same :-) And I am becoming huge lol jk but some shirts are hitting the bottom of my belly and well hardly any pants button without making me cringe. Everything is going great. I feel wonderful and I am ready for some Thanksgiving food!!!!

Being Thankful

As we are about to all get ready to bake and cook, I wanted to share some of the things I am thankful for. First and foremost, I am so thankful that I am a Christian and that I am a child of God. Many many people do not have this nor do they want it and its very sad. I thank God of all the life lessons He has taught me thus far and what lessons He is planning on teaching me in the future. I am thankful for my family and their constant love. I am so thankful that God sent me Nick. I am thankful for all the material blessings we have as well and that we never wonder where our next meal is going to be. I am thankful to God for my job. When I started out in this career I really thought as stressful as it was I would have a nervous breakdown by age 30 but the job I have now is perfect.

I am too blessed and do not deserve all of it. I hope and pray I continue to remember who blessed me and give Him all the glory. Because without Him I am nothing.

I hope everyone has a safe happy Thanksgiving!

The weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend! The cabin was absolutely beautiful. I did not take any pictures because.....well I just didn't. I got plenty of deals....for the twins :-P I had my first stranger ask me when I was due. I was in a kiddie store and that made my day!!!! For some reason Saturday, I looked unusually pregnant lol but I have realized one minute you look huge and the next minute you just have a bump so I was disappointed when I woke up Sunday and it went down. Even one of my co-workers was talking to me and all of a sudden was like Geez you look pregnant today :-) I just smiled and said "I love it" I was also able to get a couple of dirty Santa gifts. I am thankful that my family (both sides) does not exchange gifts. We all have what we need and we all are very blessed financially so Nick and I try to support several charities that are active around this time of year.

We watched chik fliks. The Proposal....loved it! I have been wanting to see that movie for a while now. And The Holiday, an old favorite that I have not seen in a long time and forgot most of it. We ate good food and got to know each other better. We laughed a lot and shopped till we dropped! It was perfect weather as well.

I was glad to get home to my husband :-)

Just a Thought.....

We had our singing last night at church and one of our Elders pointed out a question in a verse that I thought was very interesting and never really paid that much attention to. The reason verses were put in the bible is to teach us how to daily live, to know exactly who God is and what He has done for us and how we can one day live eternally with him. So every scripture is deeper than what the eye can see and that is why it is important to study (speaking to myself!) daily so that you can learn more and more each day.

Genesis 18:14 [Background] Sarah and Abraham just found out that they will be having a child and this was a little odd since both of them were quite a bit older than a parents of child bearing years. Sarah laughed at this and thought it was a joke. Then God asks Abraham why Sarah laughed and in verse 14 says "Is anything too hard for the Lord?..."

Sometimes we think things are so out of reach and we just give up. So how much do we think God is actually capable of? I know I limit Him a lot and this just opened my eyes up to many new beginnings.

9 Weeks 2 Days

My appointment went very well today. I was at the doctor's office for 3 hours!!!!! Needless to say I will be making my appointments later in the afternoon from now on.

Ultrasounds turned out normal. Nothing abnormal everything looks great!!!! They were moving!!! Oh my gosh it was so exciting. Nick was just grinning from ear to ear pointing everything out. So sweet.

Baby A - Measuring 9 weeks 2 days 167 heart rate
Baby B - Measuring 8 weeks 4 days 182 heart rate!!!!! aka our cross country runner!

Baby A (sorry pics are blurry because of lighting)

Twins Picture

Ah! We are so in love already! We got down to the nitty gritty today at the doc's office and have I mentioned how much I love my doctor? Best doctor in the whole world! He is not pushing me for anything he is going to let me go till I can't go no mo! (slang for "more") Of course if health becomes a problem he will step in but I want to bake these suckers till they are good and ready! I got a tote bag filled with all kinds of random things from Similac because they are doing some sort of promo thing anyway if any of you know me you know how much I love free stuff so I can't wait to go home and rummage through all of it.

I am now off of "monitoring". I can actually feel normal and I think that it will do my mental state of mind good haha. I go every 4 weeks and will have an ultrasound each time. I am so excited!!!

Thank you for everyone's continued prayers. We can definitely see that they were all heard. We owe God everything we have and now a days it seems like that is shoved up in my face more frequently. I have nothing to complain about except that my stomach is screaming at me and I need to go eat.

Love to all!

mmmm

I met this lady named Tabitha when I was 22 when I worked at a former firm. She had just moved from Nashville and we shared office space together (this story sounds a lot like Aishlea's but it will have a turn) so after we both realized how absolutely misreable we were working at this place and how our boss is Hitler disguised and has no respect for humanity, we started working towards getting out! Tabitha started Chatt State and was soon accepted into Nursing School. I had been applying for a paralegal job and thought I will never get out of here! It was a very depressing time. If one thing can make your life misreable, its your job! If its stressful, it will carry into your home life! I finally got another paralegal job!!! So we were both out. Anyway, point is that we have kept in contact the whole time and try to go out to eat once a month. Tabitha is now an ER nurse and of course well you know where I am :-) We both adore our jobs, love our bosses and thankful life led us where it did!

Tabitha and I ALWAYS eat

Don't worry its the cooked rolls and its been approved. This makes us both SO HAPPY!!!! Little 'ol Brookie introduced me to sushi back in 2004 and I have been hooked ever since!!!

It was a great lunch and now I am happy....and need a nap ;-)

Thanksgiving is Next Week!!!!

Why did I not realize this!!!! You want to know why? Because I am going on my Office's Ladies Day Annual Trip. We will be staying here
www.hiddenmountain.com #2004 RiverLodge

I will be spending most of my time in these stores:

And then in the evenings I will crawl on one of the couches and watch a movie and eat popcorn!!!!!! So excited about that. Shopping by day, lounging by night...seriously can we have a better weekend?!?!

Back to thanksgiving, this is my plan for my side of the family. Our Thanksgiving will be on Saturday, and I am in charge of the turkey so this is what I will be preparing

It is sausage stuffed brown sugar glazed turkey. YUM!!!!! We will most likely eat once that day and snack the rest of the day! Nick's side of the family is having their thanksgiving on Thanksgiving day so I will be making green beans (since I have probably 6 bags still from dad's garden) and I cut up potatoes and add them and then fry bacon and crumble it into the mixture. So good!!!

I Love My Family!

I know everyone says they love their family but I REALLY love my family ;-) Jk There are so many times that I am surrounded by them and realize how lucky I am.

The best thing I love about my family is the fact that we all have the best time together because we can still act about as retarded as it can get. My mom and I can start giggling because someone said a word weird and well that is all that she wrote! I love that my mother and I can still dance around the living room floor, singing obnoxiously. I love that my children will have grandparents like that who can get down on the floor with them and play tea party or trains. I absolutely love that my whole family hugs each other, even Wayne and Nick :-) when we say goodbye. And I am greatful that we all say "I love you" often to where no one is wondering otherwise.

My mother and I used to carpool to work together and we did so for a good year, a bit over. She recently has started working at home and now I realize how I took our time for granted because I miss her being in the car with me.

I love that my mother goes out of her way to invite people to her house for dinner and makes people feel warm and welcome. I love the way my Dad will take the shirt off of his back to help the next person. I absolutely love the fact how proud my Dad is to be a Christian and has his bible sitting on his front counter at his work hopefully striking a conversation with someone...if not he will just start it. I love it that my dad still talks like Donald Duck to Aubree and She is the one and only that will crack up at it.

I love it that my Dad talks a lot and most of the time tries to make someone smile while he is running his mouth. I love that I am a lot like my dad :-) Because we can't hold grudges and love being amongst friends and family. I love that my sister still acts like I am 5 and needs to protect me. I love that my sister gets excited about the small things like getting our nails done like I do. I love that my sister has a heart for older people and will go sit and befriend the elderly ladies of the church.

I love that my brother in law loves my sister and treasures her so much. I love that he thinks deeply about what is the next thing he will surprise her with. I love that he can keep her calm when she is getting in a tizzy! I love how he has accepted us all as his family. I love that my brother is such a great father.

I love how patient and kind he is with his daughter and that he makes sure she is very well informed of who God and Jesus is! I love that my sister in law cried when I told her I was pregnant. I love that she jerked me in her arms as soon as I showed them the test. I love that she is so excited over being a first time aunt. I love that she is such a great mother. I love her patience and her love for life.

And I absolutely love my husband. I love that no matter how tough of a man he is, that he started crying when he saw our pregnancy test. I love that he also started crying when we found out we were having two. I love that he started crying when he saw me walk down the isle. I love that he doesn't care if I sit half on top of him on the couch. I love that he would rather be at home with me than anywhere else. I love that we complete each other in small ways. I love his passion for God. I love how he does not care to tell people what he stands for and believes in. I love that he is the one that God chose to be my soulmate.

Ah! Weekend over already...

Well Friday night was not too exciting as I was sick all day Friday so I stayed and hung out with my mother as My Hubby and Father went to go watch Ider play. Yep that covers Friday.

Saturday Nick and I got up and went "Car Shopping". Our plan is to buy a 3 row SUV around June or so. We thought it was such a pretty day we would go pricing the different kinds. I was stuck on a Tahoe and Nick has this new found interest for an Expedition (which I did not even know they made them with 3 rows).

Then we needed to make some serious cookies!!!! The girls had fun and their attention was taken for about an hour. It got to where I could hardly watch Addison because she was eating the cookie dough and it was about to make me head to the bathroom! But here are some pics of the girls, my cutie pa tooties. They were sharing so good too.

Mother's helping with the cookie cutters....I was the "go get this" person :-)

Aubree thought she needed more flour

They might have been watching each other more than anything

And them enjoying their cookies!

After we finished that we watched the girls play and roll around on my floor, which I was down there with them and I realized hard wood floor is not going to do when we have two little ones crawling or rolling so that will be the next thing on the list is a nice area rug that is very very THICK!

We were supposed to go to the Northeast play but I have noticed that regular activities now absolutely wipe me out like I have run a marathon so after I got my regular day headache I stayed in and went to sleep at 7:00 p.m. .......yep that is not a typo!

Sunday we went down to Scottsboro with the In-Laws. Nick saw an Expedition on the Toyota lot and since he had not driven one he wanted to drive one to see what he thought. This makes me nervous because that is why I got my Prius 6 months earlier than in our plans is because my husband gets something in his head and becomes....itchy. So Nick drove it and went in and talked to the people at Toyota and he mentioned we have a Celica that we will be trading in and they told him to bring it down and they would price it. So we head home and here I go to bed with a headache (I am used to this by now) and Nick takes my celica back down to Toyota to get some ideas on pricing. Well I wake up 3 hours later and he is still not home. Call him on his cell....no answer (very unusual for him not to pick up)...call him again no answer. For the next 30 minutes I am calling him and no answer so I start having all these thoughts in my head of what could have happened when I hear someone in the driveway and the kitchen door opens. I yell out "I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD" and this is the response I got "Baby now I hope you won't get mad but my phone is dead and I could not call out" hmmmm what possibly could this mean.....

This is a picture off the internet because it was too dark for me to take a pic of the one ...IN OUR DRIVEWAY! I was like "NIIICCCCKKK@!!!!!!" and immediately he starts explaining that he told them he was not doing anything until he spoke to his wife and he would let them know in 24 hours and then he starts telling me numbers and I am shaking my head (I knew this would happen!) and my response? "Give me the keys!" ......what? I had to drive our new vehicle ;-) 2006 Eddie Bauer Expedition. No its not the "month" that I had it down to get but the deal we got on this vehicle you can't walk away from it. So I now have my Mommy-Mobile :-)

Foods - Our lifestyles

Something prompted me to write just a short post on this. I had a couple of conversations about the way I eat yesterday so I thought I would share, why not?

My mother told me that when I was a little girl I always used to tell her that when I grow up and get a house of my own I would make sure it would have nothing but nice things in it (food wise). My mother was very strict on the way we ate and quite frankly it annoyed me! While other children had burgers and fries, we were eating homemade stews, roasted chicken and veggies, salmon cakes mashed potatoes and peas! Come on who wants to eat that! Our snacks as children consisted of an apple or another piece of fruit we had in the house. My mother also used to make these homemade granola bars as well. Rarely did we have a bag of chips in the house and when we did it was a special occasion we got to have a little bowl of it. I never understood why my mother was not..."normal" like some of the other mothers.

I used to be quite the fast food junkie when I lived at home and went to Northeast because it was quicker and cheaper and well that is what I wantd. But soon it caught up with me. I felt like absolute poop. Even though I was working out on a regular basis, I was tired, I felt bloated and I didn't feel like myself. I moved out when I went to college and found myself craving my mother's food. I would go grocery shopping and often found myself making similar dishes to my mothers (this was a learning process!) As time has gone on, I have found myself exactly how my mother brought me up to eat and now I am so thankful she instilled that upon me. For snacks, its either an apple, a handful of nuts, a granola bar, etc. I am not a picky eater at all (because my mother did not let me....I didn't like what she made I didn't eat). So I enjoy all types of foods. Now granted everyone is going to have those few items that just grosses them out (for me liver, olives....and I believe that is it) Don't get me wrong though, I enjoy my pizza...mmmm very much. However, food items like pizza does not get bought often at my house. Neither does junk food.

Now which one looks more appealing to you :-)

I have also been known to cook a bowl of corn for a snack too! I love home grown veggies the best. Oh my goodness, it makes my mouth water!!! I have noticed that besides my little wave of KFC chicken, that is all I have wanted to eat was fruits and veggies as well! Sweets are completely turning me off right now. People have also laughed at my lunches I have brought to work and its so normal for me but I guess it is foreign to some people and that is why they think I might be such a "healthy eater" but its my lifestyle. I have been known to bring an avocado and mango to work. Yum! What a better lunch than that! This will fill your belly up and not make you sleepy or bloated feeling!

So I hope to instill the same on my children. I do have a particular friend who I talk to quite often about this. Her and I hold the same opinions on food and children. She already has a son and I have a feeling I will be going to her for some advice when it comes to introducing food because she has done such a great job with her son (I love you Ashley!!!) It will be hard because so many people just love to be the one to give a baby that first taste of ice-cream or chocolate but I guess I will have to be the bad guy for a while and say no. Maybe my children will appreciate it later on in life like I do with my mother. Now I absolutely love going to eat at my mother's house because there is nothing like Mama's cookin! mmmmm which I am doing tonight.

Well now I am hungry and would love to eat some rice and veggies :-) Hope everyone has a great and safe weekend!

Cookies Cookies & More Cookies

So I am looking forward to Saturday! I have invited both of my sister in laws and my perfect nieces to come over to bake cookies. We are cheating a bit though. My mother had 4 huge rolls of homemade cookie dough left from Natalie's wedding so she has been begging me to take some. I bought a 100 piece cookie cutter set (which I think it can be used for more than that) and its sitting up on my china cabinet screaming to be used. I have random decorations that I have collected, green sugar, multi colored sprinkes, chocolate morsels.....I think that may cover it...anyhoo and so I thought it would be fun for my nieces to come over with mommies and decorate their own cookies! Of course this is going to land up being VERY MESSY so I will not be cleaning until they leave :-) I think we are going to have a great time.

Are they not just absolutely sweet!!!!

Another thing I am looking forward to is girls night tomorrow night. Salad Sisters I think Haley called us?? A few of the younger adult ladies just get together in comfy clothes and spend good quality time together. I am looking forward to that because I don't get to see all these ladies as much as I want to.

I am also looking forward to that bucket of KFC in my fridge at home....yep veggies and fruit are going down ok but KFC chicken is now better than sliced bread. So I am looking forward to that.

I get to see all my lil ones tonight in class. We are learning about David. Lately they seem to have more..ummm....energy??? Not sure if that is the appropriate word but the mouths do not stop. Pretty sure that is what ALL my teachers dealt with me hehe and gosh if my children come out running their mouth we will know who they take after already ;-)

I hope everyone has an enjoyable evening and go attend church! It helps you get through the rest of the week!

Bigger & Better

We went to the doctor today to check on lil buddy. Well lets look at stats so far

Week 6 - Measuring 3 weeks
Week 7 - Measuring 6 weeks 2 days
Week 8 - Measuring 7 weeks 4 days

He is growing like a weed! So is my other one. She is measuring at 7 weeks 6 days. From what I understand its ok for them to be a couple of days off every now and then because it can also be because of the doctor's measuring. Anyhoo, much better report. Baby A - 166 heartbeat; Baby B - 159 so their little hearts are just going crazy :-) Gosh I love it.

Yolk sac is still bigger but it did not grow much which is good. I misunderstood the doctor's answer to Nick last week. Our lil buddy has 30% chance of abnormality!! I thought he said 30% chance of making it! So that was a great relief.

As you can see, Baby B is on the left. The way the picture is taken looks like he is way smaller but he is kind of to the side.

Things are going great and we thank everyone for their prayers. Please don't stop now :-) I still have 7 more months to go!

Love to all.

Blah on food!

So my biggest challenge right now is food (and yes if you are thinking My gosh is the only thing she is going to post about is her pregnancy...well you are almost right...98% of the stuff will be this :-P) These experts tell you to add 300 calories to your diet and 600 if you have twins ...well I would love to if anything sounded or tasted good.

I made stirfry last night, the same as I always make it, and I took one bite and thought seriously? How can you mess up stirfry?! Well Nick inhaled it! So I said sausage and shrimp does not go good in this and he said Yes it does. Then I say the stirfry sauce tastes off....nope apparently that was me too. So as Nick watched me eat to make sure I ate I had a grossed out face the whole time ugh gives me cold shivers! Ok so for those who have been pregnant, did you have this issue and were there any foods that you enjoyed? I need ideas here!!! I must say KFC chicken has been wonderful but I am not eating that everyday I will blow up like a balloon!!

Please keep us in your prayers, we go back to the doctor tomorrow!!!

Answer to Many Questions

Well mainly one. Our twins are NOT identical. They are fraternal which means 2 eggs were released and well they each have their own "home". I really hope that one comes out blond (which I was when I was younger and my parents were when they were younger) and the other comes out dark headed (which is what Nick was and now both of us are). Why? Its a good conversational piece :-)

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

I did. I left for Nashville on Thursday and well if anyone knows me they know how much I love hotels!!!! We had a very successful Seminar and I was voted in to be First Vice President of the Tennessee Paralegal Association, sound fancy? Not really ;-) Now I was suckered in to planning the seminar for Fall next year which I am looking forward to doing. Yes I am retarded....as I go through pregnancy I have to plan this seminar and get speakers, vendors, set up with the hotel, get good deals, network and advertise...and then when we hit it off my children will be 5 months old!!!! Don't worry I have a traveling babysitter....none other than my mother. She put up a fight to go.....believe me ;-)

Then I got home Saturday and Nick went to go watch the AL ballgame as I took a 3 hr nap (these are an every weekend day occurrence now) then.....well I think we watched more football when he got home. Then Sunday church of course and we went to my parents to eat. I got to see little Aubree and I asked her what she did today and she said they sang and went to class. I asked her what she learned at class and she told me all about Noah and how he built the ark!! She said he brought 2 animals in ;-) I knew what she meant. Then she started telling me how it started raining after that. She is so sweet....and she has definitely gone from the sweet quiet baby to a crazy loud child! Its funny.

So the wonderful thing is that I can now wear whatever I want. I don't have to wear a sweatshirt or a jacket going out to hide the belly. Yes....I am showing. You think Geez you are going to be huge....well you maybe correct but not because I have a belly now. I am on a medication and have been since the day I found out I was pg that somewhat gives you a bloated look and then I am pretty sure my abdomen is starting to go straight out so the two together well it makes me look like I am 5 months pg. Do I care? No I absolutely love it lol. I know weird but it always seems so real because I have it. My brother was nice enough to tell me yesterday that I am at the point where people are thinking I just have a pot belly and need to diet....Thanks Wayne :-)

My symptoms I have been pretty lucky so far. I lost 10 lbs in the beginning by getting sick but now that its stopped I have put on 3 so we are slowly catching up. I would have to say my irritation level for stupid people has gone up and that really shows at the end of the day when I am hungry and tired. I have a 9-12 period where I don't feel too hot but nothing bad. Right now I am in the stage where no food sounds good and few tastes good. Burgers, chicken fingers...sometimes just chicken, hot dogs big hunks of meat...make me want to gag ugh I just got a cold shiver lol. Um nope other than that I am "normal" whatever that is anymore.

Please continue to pray. We go back Wednesday to the doctor. We are just praying for growth and continued heartbeat! I heard the best lessons for me yesterday at church. First one was on how you must just do what God tells you don't ask questions and His plan will work out the way it needs to and don't be negative while going through it and the second one was Patience. Be patient on God to do His work and He will....He doesn't need your help!

Love everyone!!!

P.S. I can't get my ticker on!!!! Someone tell me how to post my ticker pls :-)

Wow What Love!!!!!!

Yesterday was a whirlwind to say the least!!!!! You know how you get in the swing of things and well people are in your life and they are supposed to be and they will always be there and you go to church and see the same people and you are around your family whom you love ......well that is the way it is supposed to be? But when you face joys and struggles in your life and all these people that you take for granted are in your life show just how much they love you it is OVERWHELMING!!!!!! I am tearing up typing this lol. The amount of texts and emails and my blog posts was amazing and everyone that promises to pray for you and just looks at you and says "God will take care of you and your struggles!" Oh I can't even explain it.

Last night at church we had so much love shown to us, as always my church is good like that :-) But when its focused on a specific thing and people are crying around you because they are so happy you don't feel alone and you know that you will have all the support in the world. I will never appreciate or thank the people in my life enough for the support that they have shown me through the years and especially now. What is funny is I was really sick when we first found out and when I came to church one Sunday I had lost a good 10 pounds already and you could tell it especially in my face! A couple of people told me at church last night that Sunday they suspected it because I just looked it lol. I guess looking like absolute poop means you are pregnant haha.

Of course my parents are beyond excited. My mother started buying stuff when we started trying (yep you read right!) And she has already made blue and pink baby blankets, she already has a crib for her house, she already bought me a bassinet....

lets see what else.....well her and I both went out to this big market where second hand baby clothes are sold and baby items well if I am going to buy something second handed I want it dirt cheap or I'll just buy it new so we were not really impressed at first but then we got to the section where it was 0-6 months --socks, hats, onesies all in packets. And the prices was ridiculous so between her and I, I have over 80 gender neutral onesies :-) And I found a bag of little girl hats (and well you all know how much I love hats myself) I HAD TO get them! Oh they are just precious.

Anyway, enough rambling about baby stuff, I love all of you and thank you for the support you are giving us! We definitely need it. It is a joyous scary time but like I said God does not go by statistics and He is ALWAYS bigger than what is going on in your life.

Ultrasound Pics

Ok so here we have last week "Baby A" (aka Penelope lol don't ask) measuring perfectly at 6 weeks.

I'm sorry I am taking these pics with my cell so they are not so clear.

Then we have "Baby A" aka Penelope :-) measuring perfectly at 7 weeks 1 day

It looks like a shrimp!!!!!!! lol so funny I'm so in love! Ya'll just don't even know!

Ok now we have my "Baby B" aka "lil buddy" measuring at 6 weeks 2 days

So many already know.....

Because my husband send out a mass text message and I had not even made it to my office yet!!!!!!!.......

WE ARE PREGNANT!!!!! You don't know how good it feels to type those words. I mean you see the test you get overwhelmed with emotion, but then you have to wait to go to the doctor and its the huge secret you are carrying inside of you and then some days I don't even feel pregnant so to type those words and finally be able to tell people Oh my gosh feels awesome!!!!!!!!

But we need prayers. I need anyone and everyone to just keep us in your prayers. We are pregnant with twins :-) (Another blessing) and our first u/s last week the bigger baby was measuring 6 weeks PERFECT. Smaller measuring 3 weeks.....we didn't think there was a chance EXCEPT Mommy and Daddy prayed every night!!!!!!! No heartbeats at this point. So I just prayed God please just let him grow just a little, he doesn't have to catch up right now just a little. Well my doctor yelled out one heartbeat immediately and couldn't find the sac of the other so I tried thinking in my head Melissa be grateful for what God gives you! And then my doc found the other sac......and said WE HAVE A HEARTBEAT those words just ah I can't even describe to you. Nick walked up and just grabbed my hand and I could see he had tears in his eyes. Big baby heartbeat is measuring 132 which is great. Smaller one is at 127 still great.

But our smaller baby is measuring a week behind. In my eyes I think my lil guy grew 3 weeks in 1 week!!!! Of course my doctor went on to say that we are not out of the woods with the little one. Sometimes they continue to grow and then just stop but we prayed for him to just grow a little and look what we got! I pray for God's will to be done but I am not giving up hope!!!!

Also, if you are wondering why I am calling my lil one "he" and "guy" because I have a feeling that this little one will be my football player and run everyone over on the field and my bigger baby is my little girl :-) Don't ask why just imaginations

Also we are not finding out gender....I know everyone gasp at once! This is one thing that before we started trying I made Nick promise he would respect of me that I have ALWAYS wanted it to be something shared between me and my husband in the delivery room and he promised so anyway that is our good news for the day:-)

Please keep us in your prayers and just pray God's will be done. Because if he doesn't get to be with us he will be with God!

Oh I am 7 weeks and 1 day pg and due June 22, 2010 :-)

Love the time change!

I have been in the best mood today because I had a great weekend and I LOVE the time change! So I finally turned my pics in so I should update by the end of the week....hopefully.

This weekend was so great. Me and Hubby went to Gadsden to eat at Red Lobster and then we just walked around the mall (which by the way is very shady....I do not remember it being that bad) but it was relaxing and nice! Then Saturday I was able to find a brown and black pair of boots while we were out shopping and I also was able to get my friend's baby shower gift basket together. I got home and we put my Halloween decorations up....finally! That made me happy! That is what I absolutely love about my husband, he was right in the middle of everything decorating :-) He knows how giddy I get when it comes to things like this! Then we got our pumpkins out and got to work.

Here is Nick getting in the "mood"

And football was on of course....

I wanted to go with the "Scream" theme and finally Nick had to draw it for me because well apparently I can't even do that.....you should have seen my markings...it was funny. Anyway, Brooke I totally thought of you as I was emptying my pumpkin :-)

Does our house look scary enough?

So we got those set outside and we went to the store for a few items. Got back and grilled steaks (which I bought from a guy on the side of the road lol thats funny) best steak I have ever ate!!!!! It was soooo good. My mother got some too and she told me the same thing but they really were good. Then came the trick or treaters....we got a total of ......8! lol Nick was just dumping candy in kid's bags lol. April and Tyler brought little Kaden and he was a doctor. On his outfit said "Dr. Q.T. Patootie" how precious is that! Well he saw my apples and started crying for it saying "Apple, apple" and April told him no! I said Nick you get that boy an apple! So by george we got him one :-) (all my friends probably hate me)

Then we had this one taller trick or treater come and I looked through the door and said "Ok that is scary" because He/She was totally covered in black with a gold mask on. So Nick was the one who answered the door and he put a handful in as usual and I hear him go, "Well we have to save some for the rest of the trick or treaters." This trick or treater just kept shaking its bag like it wanted more candy so Nick was dropping in one piece at a time and what he was wanting was the person to speak so he could figure out who it was. I turned around and thought Kids! They have no manners now a days! But something just wasn't right....and then a woman started giggling and I know that giggle ANYWHERE! MY MOTHER! hahahahaha Oh I was laughing so hard. I love it that she still knows how to have a good time.

Here she is....scary right?

My dad had pulled in w/o us seeing so he came running up after he heard her laughing. It was so funny. They decided to stop their dinner....yes you heard me right, they had not even finished their dinner because they knew we were at home giving out candy and wanted to put their $8.00 walmart outfit to good use :-) That made for good memories!

Then after they left to go finish their dinner! Nick and I went to buy a scary movie. Neither one of us are much for them, the language is normally foreign because there is so much cursing but anyway we wanted to look for something just because it was Halloween and there was only football and baseball on (FYI I had already watched 2 games prior to trick or treaters). So we bought The Grudge and popped some popcorn. It was ok...not really scary more freaky than anything but it was still fun.

I cannot believe it is November, 2009! November and December always fly by. I have to travel on 2 different occasions for work this month and then we have Thanksgiving so there goes November! We already have our Christmas parties starting to line up and that excites me :-)

Pictures to come :-)

Matthew 16:26
"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Food for thought....don't worry so much about the material things and appreciate the small things. Look around you and see what all God has provided...simple pleasures. We get so wrapped up in the best clothes, the best shoes, the best that money can buy...but we can't take any of it with us. Make sure your heart is right with God!
