My weekly update

So I have realized that during the week, by the time I get in, feed the boys, start dinner, bathe the boys, nurse the boys and eat dinner, put the boys to bed, I am so far past tired that I have no want to get on the computer. So I figured I can keep up with weekly updates on Sat mornings when everyone is happy and playing.

We got Major's glasses in Tuesday. Cute is not even the word to describe how he looks. Take a peek for yourself :-)

He actually does pretty good with them as well. What is sad is how he reacted when he first put them on. I wear glasses because I work in front of a computer all day and read case law that I get headaches so as far as far sighted and near sighted, I have no clue how to relate. Major is far sighted...bad far sighted. I looked through his glasses and WOW bless his heart! I am so happy modern day technology can figure out a babies eye issues! The first night we put them on, he was a little fussy all night and the only thing I can think of is that he was so freaked out because he was seeing the world for the first time not in doubles! He would pick up a toy and instead of just putting it straight to his mouth, he would pick it up and turn it around and inspect it.

He is such a sweet little boy. Please pray that the glasses and patching his good eye will strengthen his lazy eye. I really don't want him to have surgery :-(

Another thing I always said about Major is that he knew nothing about "personal space" because when I held him he would almost have his face touching mine looking at me and would always crack up. Now I realize he probably couldn't see me so that is why he was so close.

I have high hopes that this will help and will correct. Hopefully we caught it in time and he is young enough to make it better.
